Victoria Beckham sports new Pixie hairstyle at New York Fashion Week

As one half of the internationally famous celebrity couple ‘the Beckhams’ - who are known as much for their ever changing hairstyles and setting trends as anything else - you may be interested to know that Victoria Beckham has finally had enough of her bob haircut, or what people have come to affectionately call “the Pob!”

Victoria apparently fancied a change and opted for a dramatic restyle to coincide with her attendance at the Mercedes Benz New York Fashion Week, which kicked off last Friday. It is a cutting edge hair cut that looks very sexy and has been compared to the pixie crop sported in the 1950s by the likes of Mia Farrow. Victoria certainly attracted a lot of attention and the press have gone crazy.

Clarins Beauty Party at Richard John

This week on Tuesday 9th September, Richard John held an exclusive Clarins Beauty Party, where we invited our clients to join us for an evening of expert skin care advice and tips including the latest Clarins make up trends and skin care products.

The evening showcased three different areas of the Clarins range:

• Jazzy Autumn Colours - introducing all the new Autumn Colours from Clarins with mini make-over demonstrations showing how to use the latest colours. Tones of black, violet plums, graphite greys and shimmering blues  – all new colours from Clarins for this season’s latest look!

• Moisture Maximisers  - our beauty therapists demonstrated which creams would work best for all the different skin types. Super Restorative is fantastic for the 50 plus age group and Hydraquench can be used on any age and any skin type to replace much needed moisture. Younger Longer is a great new Clarins product which is applied 2 to 3 times a week under your evening moisturiser to help stimulate your skins internal renewal system.

• Whats New, Whats now? - retail consultants, Emma and Laura did a fantastic job showing us the latest launches. Everyone was fascinated by this section and were very excited about the new Extra Firming Tightening Lift Serum, the next best thing to having a face lift! When applied to the face it forms a flexible film that tightens the skins surface, leaving skin feeling instantly lifted, firmed and smoothed.

Everyone we spoke to thoroughly enjoyed the evening and found it very informative. Margaret Higgins, a longstanding and loyal client, said:

“I have been using the wonderful Clarins Beauty Flash Balm for a long time but I didn’t know you could use it as a mask 2 or 3 times a week - not just under your make-up! The evening was wrapped up with a raffle prize draw which saw three lucky guests taking home gift baskets containing Clarins products showcased during the evening. Everyone who attended received a goodie bag with a Clarins handy travel wash-bag and sample size products plus discount coupons for in-salon services and products.
