Put Spring in your Step!!!
Posted on 02/04/12, filed under Richard John Salon News | No CommentsDon’t you hate it when the sun comes out and the weather warms up a little, as you slip on your beautiful summer wedges you realise that your feet are about as attractive as white leggings and cellulite? Well here comes your quick foot fix for when you can’t get in quick enough for a pedicure.
1. Pour yourself a large glass of white wine (or whatever your tipple of choice may be). whether you’ve been at work or at home with the kids, which in turn, as we all know, is actually much harder than “work”, you’ve earned it!
2. Fill a suitable vessel (in my case, usually a bendy bucket) with warm to hot water and why not try adding my favourite soak Zen Spa Blissful Calm Tea Tree Bath. It soothes and relaxes my feet while giving me the feeling that theyre having a really good clean. Soak those toes for 10 mins.
3. Remove and take out a scrub. The best I’ve used is the Zen Spa Natural Salt Polish. massage into feet paying special attention to heels, balls of the feet and toes. The natural salt polish seems to soften and remove hard skin really well and leaves my feet feeling bran
d new.
4. Soak feet again, gentle washing off the salt polish. Remove and gently dry with a towl (preferably one that hasn’t already been used by hubby, kids dog etc)!
5. Time for moisturiser. It’s really important to use a proper foot cream! Why not try the Zen Spa Green Tea Souffle?? It accompanies the bath perfectly, giving that long lasting feeling of revitalisation and freshness to those tired tootsies! Massage in gently (or if your other half is feeling particularly generous, maybe ask them to do it?!)
6. Here comes the colour. Jessica do an amazing range of nail colours, and one of my favourites for this season has to be Confident Coral. A vibrant colour that goes with everything but obviously it’s your choice! Leave polish to dry properly! Smudges don’t “add to the effect” as someone once said to me!
That’s the basics covered. If you want or need more intensive hydration then do this at night time. After your nail colour has dried (properly!!!) apply another thick layer of souffle or cream and then put a pair of socks on (preferably cotton) to go to sleep in that night. The next morning your feet will be hydrated, beautifully smooth and ready for any summer shoe you decide to squeeze them into.

dation is halfway down your face and your forehead is shinier than your grandmas silver?? Well help is now at hand!! Up until now, many foundations have claimed to be “Matte” finish and “last all day” but I know that this is inevitably a fib. I should know I’ve tried every single one! However,
